Plastic is amazing! It enables us to produce numerous items we interact with on a daily basis. Some plastics are soft as a pillow; others are hard as a rock. We will indeed learn about PE and PP — which are types of plastic today.
PE stands for Polyethylene. It is a pliable and stretchy version of its own plastic, which can flex and crinkle without snapping. PE, is basically a plastic bag, which can be crumpled into a ball and will come back to its shape! PE is in lots of things you have at home. PE is used to make milk jugs, and some toys and bags. PE Does an Excellent Job of Staying Safe and Dry It is not permeable to water or other fluids.
PP stands for Polypropylene. It is a hard and strong plastic, which does not have as much bend as PE. PP is like a superhero of plastic that can carry heavy duties! MP is used to shape car parts, medical tools, and stuff that need to remain robust. This is special for PP which can withstand heat better than PE. If you want something which does not melt or get out of shape once it becomes warm, PP will do an excellent job for you.
This leads us to making considerations for what we are trying to produce when choosing between PE or PP. Do we want something that is soft and stretchy? Or do we want something sturdy that can stand up to heat? These questions allow to select the appropriate plastic for our project.
“There’s something about choosing plastic that is like choosing the right tool for a job. PE is a great material if you want to create something that needs to be flexible. PP is the go to if you want to make something that needs to be strong and withstand heat.
